Manchester United fans ruthlessly slammed Scott McTominay after his disastrous performance against Brighton on Sunday.
Erik ten Hag’s reign as Man United boss got off to the worst possible start when his side succumbed to Graham Potter’s Brighton at Old Trafford.

The hosts pulled one back via an own goal by Alexis Mac Allister, but were unable to find an important equalizer.
Man United were not at the races, with their midfield exposed and fans singled out McTominay, who failed to start in the middle of the park.
He was lucky enough to avoid a red card for his reckless tackle to Moises Caicedo, as Ten Hag went on to drag him off in the 77th minute.
Man United fans expressed their feelings about McTominay’s lackluster performance on social media.
Can’t wait for the day when I don’t have to watch Mctominay anymore

Nothing sums up Scott McTominay better than being shown a yellow card for trying to pass a football.

As long as McTominay is a starting midfielder, transitions will kill us

#mufc midfield problem there in a microcosm: McTominay needed six touches in the last third, lost the ball and got booked.

This match is a shocking reality for Erik ten Hag that, as tactical as he is, Fred and McTominay’s midfield will NEVER work.
Manchester United have NO midfield.

Scott McTominay is the worst midfielder in the Premier League and it doesn’t come close.
