Cristiano Ronaldo‘s sister has been accused of being “obsessed” with Lionel Messi after liking and commenting on a post that makes fun of the PSG incredible bicycle kick from the star against Clermont Foot.
But not everyone was equally impressed by the performance of the Argentina international.
A Ronaldo fan page on Instagram, cr7.o_legendarymocked Messi’s goal and compared it to the Portuguese’s iconic bicycle kick for Real Madrid against Juventus in the Champions League in 2018.
The fan account posted two images of goals and wrote, “One is a gun and the other is a bicycle.
“One is in the French championship against Clermont and the other is in the knockout stage of the Champions League against Juventus.
“In one the player puts his hands on the field, the other foot also and it would hardly be possible to put a mattress between his body and the field, while the other completely removes his body from the field and the space between his body and the field.
“It’s so much that the player would fit in the top picture and if he hesitated, there would still be a bit left hahaha. Never compare…”
Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, liked the post before commenting on it with a series of clapping emojis.
While Messi looks poised for a successful season at PSG, Ronaldo’s future remains in doubt.
The 37-year-old is keen to leave Manchester United this summer to play Champions League football.
But his efforts to find a new club have so far failed, and United are determined to keep the Portugal captain.
Ronaldo missed most of United’s pre-season preparation and it’s not clear if he will make an appearance on Sunday when they host Brighton in their opening game of the new Premier League season.
